Executive Director
As co-founder and Executive Director of Youth Action Project, Tremaine Mitchell is guided by its mission to improve communities through the training and development of youth and young adults. Mrs. Mitchell is a seasoned helping professional with over two decades of success in the development of programs, systems, and people. Through her experience as a social worker, nonprofit leader, and certified master coach, Mrs. Mitchell has helped hundreds of individuals achieve their personal and professional development goals.
Carol Bauer
Chief Financial Officer
With over 30 years of accounting experience, Carol comes to YAP having previously served as the accounting and finance manager for the Inland Empire division of the Los Angeles Newspaper Group and later as a Senior Forensic Accountant, Controller with CPA Forensics Plus (CPAFP). Through CPAFP, Carol first came to YAP in 2015 as contracted fiscal support. Carol says, “Never having worked in a non-profit environment, YAP won my heart. I have always had a strong belief in the power of knowledge and education and found an opportunity to make a difference by supporting YAP’s mission. YAP quickly became my passion and I was honored to join the executive team as their first CFO in early 2018”.
